oh yea.. and here people were saying, let's pull another pipeline down from Canada. Here's exactly what the "liberal environs" were saying would happen.
Alas, I rest my case.

1) Sounds like panic mongering
2) This company is run by morons. Look at BP's image. There has to be something to learn from previous spills and there is technology to contain this. Buy something (even have the state do it and sue the company) and contain the oil.

Don't worru Pelosi, and Reed, with their mouth piece Obama will declare that all pipelines must be shut down for inspection. That will for sure help the economy.

There should be penalties for negligence in not maintaining the oil line. This is like knowingly putting a Bus on the highway with bad brakes.

Exactly, SpruceGuse2 and findcheap. We need legislation on the books that will fine them right out of existence if they know of a problem that could lead to disaster, and they ignore it to keep stuffing their pockets. I'm sick of this greed with no conscience.

despite the "lessons," you still hear the same garbage from so many on this site about how we need more drilling, need to throw out Pres. Obama, need more conservative tea party people, etc. Just sick people.

Hey, what do you know, oil companies don't really know what to do to clean up their messes even when they aren't drilling in deep water.

Conserve! Flash Pres.Obama just got off "VIEW" and will spring into action just as soon he gets the make-up off his face. Then you'll get change you asked for and transparency.

Ig government did what they are supposed to due they would require more safety regulations, instead of sticking their noses where that have no right to be like healthcare

Conserve! Our PC politicians S.O.H. N.Pelosi is responsible and should be billed for clean-up (she and Hubie made millions on our dime.)
Her and fellow "greenies" stop building of Atomic Power Plants. Pres.Obama needs to sign an executive order for all new federal vehicles to run on CNG which under our feet is more domestic energy than almost anywhere on Earth!!! It would take 5 years to turn things around but it would take that long just for them to get off their ass. Shame on them. Atomic Power Plants and CNG don't ever leak curd oil. http://www.whitehouse.gov/CONTACT/ Get off ass no more crude oil leaks!!!

I don't see how they could lose that much oil without knowing it. Do they not have any idea how much oil they are moving? How do they charge someone for the oil if they don't know how much was shipped and how much was delivered. Sounds like this company needs to be put out of existence - and all its stockholders and executives need to be banned from the oil business - or as far as that goes, banned from any business at all....

It's up to the pipeline0 owners and shippers to make sure their equipment is well maintained and that all spills are quickly cleaned up.
